What it does

Real subtitles, not a guess

Pulls the video's own captions or auto-captions straight from the source, so what you get matches what's actually on screen - not a fresh re-transcription that can drift from the original wording.

Subtitle file or plain transcript

Download a ready-to-use .srt subtitle file for editing software, or copy the transcript as plain text or with timestamps for notes, quotes, research or translation.

Works in dozens of languages

Fetches the video's own language track by default, or ask for a different one if the video offers it.

No account, nothing installed

Paste a link and it fetches automatically - no browser extension, no desktop app, no signup.

FAQ

Is this a subtitle downloader or a transcript downloader?

Both. It pulls a video’s captions and hands them back either way: as a downloadable .srt subtitle file, or as a plain, readable transcript, with or without timestamps.

Does it work if the video has no official subtitles?

It can pull auto-generated captions where the platform provides them. If a video truly has none, use Auto-subtitles in the editor instead, which transcribes the audio directly.

Which sites does it work with?

Any public video from YouTube and the other sites ClipToolbox supports for clipping - paste the link and it fetches automatically.

Is it free?

Yes. Downloading subtitles or copying the transcript is free and needs no account.
